Transcendental Meditation London

Living and working in London is exciting, exhilarating and rewarding; on the flip side life can also be stressful and exhausting. The Meditation Trust’s frequent TM courses in central London have already transformed the lives of thousands of Londoners looking for a real solution to the constant demands and pressures of city life. The effects and benefits of TM to health are profound. Only a few minutes of transcendental meditation every day brings far greater results than hours invested in other meditation techniques.

Learn Transcendental Meditation in London

The Meditation Trust, a registered charity since 2000, offers TM course fees up to 50% lower than any other Transcendental Meditation course in the UK.
You can learn at very convenient locations around London, or you can learn on retreat deep in the tranquil Kent countryside which is just 15 minutes from the M25 or 45 minutes from London (easily accessible by train or car).
After learning this effortless, simple yet profound technique of transcendence, you are automatically a member of the Meditation Trust and are welcomed into a vast but friendly meditators community of over 10,000 people across the UK. You will have opportunities to join them for regular group meditations, and have access to exceptionally good value retreats and advanced programmes.
With free support and guidance for life from our qualified teachers, you will also be invited to meditators’ meetings with them for deeper experience and greater understanding. In addition, you still have telephone contact with your teacher as and when you need it.
Before learning, you can meet a TM teacher online to hear more about TM, understand the differences between TM, mindfulness and other techniques, and have all your questions answered. See latest dates of our regular free introductory sessions: Free introductory talks on transcendental meditation.

Dr Gemma Beckley
Gemma completed her teacher training in 2012, and since then has gained enormous experience teaching several thousand people from all walks of life.
She learned TM at the age of 6, and whilst continuing her personal meditation practice, including many advanced courses, she also spent over 10 years training as a Clinical Psychologist. During that time, her Psychology undergraduate dissertation explored the effects of TM on occupational stress, and her thesis for her professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology explored the effects of TM on anxiety, depression and well being.
Working in the NHS for a number of years, she treated people with a range of diagnoses using a range of psychological therapies including mindfulness based CBT. However, feeling that much greater progress could be made if these modern psychological therapies were supported by the ancient Vedic wisdom of India, she completed her teacher training in the methods laid down by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
She has since taught TM privately to the general public who are often experiencing high levels of stress with a range of physical and mental health problems including anxiety, depression and insomnia, plus people on the Autistic Spectrum and with diagnoses of ADHD and PTSD (but also of course those who are healthy and well but looking to fulfil their full potential!). Gemma is also the Director of the Trust’s Charitable Projects, which has involved teaching children in care and in schools both in the UK and developing countries.
Gemma now does most of her teaching in Central London as well as on retreat in Kent.
